Foreign Ship Revenue from PQ & Gwadar Port Revealed

The government collected Rs107.696bn from 7,850 foreign ships at Port Qasim and Rs573.92m from Gwadar Port between 2021–25, the National Assembly was informed. Ship traffic included container vessels, tankers, bulk carriers, and LNG carriers, with major shares from the Middle East, Far East, and Europe. Gwadar’s revenue showed steady growth over the years, reflecting rising port activity. Authorities confirmed Gwadar Port operates under federal control with no current revenue-sharing framework with Balochistan.
