Advanced Telecommunication Infrastructure completed at NGIA

ISLAMABAD (PEN) : High-tech telecommunication work has been completed for the ongoing development of New Gwadar International Airport (NGIA), incorporating advanced systems to transmit voice, data, and audio-video signals. The telecommunications infrastructure comprises various components like transmission and switching systems, ensuring efficient and secure communication. Plans include installing a modern navigational system with radio-electric and visual aids to guide aircraft and airport vehicles. Fiber optic cables have been laid, and fencing around NGIA is finished. NGIA, a CPEC project costing Rs. 60.208 billion, is developed jointly by China and Pakistan, featuring a state-of-the-art runway, terminal, and infrastructure. It will accommodate narrow and wide-body aircraft for domestic and international flights.
